Prince George of Cambridge might have stolen the thunder from many of the royal family, but Prince Harry can take some satisfaction in knowing that his name still tops the polls when it comes to popularity.
Last week, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) announced the top baby names of 2012. Harry and Amelia were the most frequently given baby names in England and Wales, with more than 14,000 parents choosing the names for their little ones.
The thousands of Harrys and Amelias will be joined in the playground by Bobby and Elsie, the two highest climbers of the year.
Whether your baby is called Harry, Amelia, Bobby or Elsie, every newborn baby is special, and, here at Venture, we love to celebrate our little bundles of joy by capturing some beautiful newborn photographs. Well, we do love a good photo!
Did you know that in the first fourteen days of life, babies can be easily positioned into all sorts of poses? We do, and that’s why this is the perfect, must-have time to get the cutest keepsake photos.
We’re sure that in 10, 20 or 30 years’ time, today’s newborn Harrys and Amelias will be cooing over photos of their younger selves – although maybe not when mum gets them out to show their first boyfriend or girlfriend!
For us, though, that’s what photography is all about. We love creating images that your family will treasure for years to come – photographs that will be smiled at, giggled over and hugged for the rest of your life.
We’ve photographed thousands of families over the years, and we’re really excited to turn our attentions to the thousands of babies born in Britain every day.
Regardless of your baby’s name, they’re always welcome at Venture.
