Nina

What is your job role? Managing the team.
How long have you been working for Venture? Since the franchise started in 2000.
Who is your favourite photographer and why? Obviously Kenny for creating wonderful images especially ones of my family.
What do you enjoy most about your job? Working with the team to create memorable images for customers. 
Hobbies? Watching movies, reading, walking, but most of all spending time with my family and friends.

Kenny

What is your job role? Boss's Husband.
How long have you been working for Venture? Since the beginning.
Who is your favourite photographer and why? Arnold Newman. He was the first Photographer to take portraits in the sitters own environment, giving him the name "The Father of Enviromental Portraiture". His sense of composition is second to none and he has photographed almost every major world figure.
What do you enjoy most about your job? The fact that my job is also my hobby.
Favourite Film? Some like it hot (because I like Jack Lemmon), Moulin Rouge (for the styling) and the Bourne series.
Favourite Music? Very ecclectic taste, Jazz, Classical, Opera, Rolf, Folk, anything really that is good, not Radio 1 or X-Factor. 
Hobbies? Photography, food and drink, eating out and cooking, travelling, listening to music and singing in the choir. 
What is your most memorable experience at Venture? Being a founder member, becoming the first ever photographer to achieve the Venture diploma in photography.

Chris - Style Director

What is your job role? Style Director/Photographer.
How long have you been working for Venture? Since the Summer of 2000.
Who is your favourite photographer and why? Myself of course! No to be honest I like a few photographers mainly David Bailey, Mario Testino, Ansel Adams and Rankin amongst a few!
What do you enjoy most about your job? That no day is the same! Photographing lost of different variety of people and not forgetting the people I work with!
Favourite Film? Hmmm hard question to answer I’ve too many to mention! Probably Highlander, Trainspotting, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings are high up on the list! Definitely not soppy films!
Favourite Music? No real genre if its good I’ll like it! Definitely not any of the X Factor stuff though,  i.e. Jon and Edward.
Hobbies? Spending time with my wife and kids! When I have time and when there is snow, skiing and more skiing...whenever I can, mountain biking...even when I'm not working photography, hanging out with my wife and kids!
What is your most memorable experience at Venture? When the studio went on a weekend trip to Brussels and the 2007 Gala dinner in Birmingham!

David - Photographer

What is your job role? Photographer.
How long have you been working for Venture? Four years.
Who is your favourite photographer and why? Joel Grimes. The lighting on his pictures is fantastic and has a real eerie mood to them.
What do you enjoy most about your job? The people I work with! I work with two guys and the rest are women, so its awesome! I have a good laugh at work!
Favourite Film? Don't have just one movie, but some of my favourites are; The Shawshank Redemption, Blow, Fear and loathing in Las Vegas. Anything with Johnny Depp is amazing!
Favourite Music? Indie/Rock, Rap, Hip Hop.Bands include Friendly fires,Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kasabian, Kanye West, Dr Dre. Anything really as long as its not death metal!
Hobbies? Going to the Gym, downhill biking and mainly partying with mates!
What is your most memorable experience at Venture? My first Gala Dinner in Birmingham. Free indoors carnival, enough said!

Claire - Photographer

What is your job role? Photographer/Previewer.
How long have you been working for Venture? Five years.
Who is your favourite photographer and why? David Eustace
What do you enjoy most about your job? Taking photos.
Favourite Film? Comedy's and Chic flicks, but Sex in the City is in the Top 10.
Favourite Music? Will listen to most types of music.
Hobbies? Chilling with friends and family, and going on holiday!
What is your most memorable experience at Venture? During my training I sat in on one of Kenny's session's, only for his trousers to rip in the crotch area, what was worse, he didn't realise and being new I didn't want to tell him....

Helen - Photographer

What is your job role? Photographer.
How long have you been working for Venture? Four years.
Who is your favourite photographer and why? Bill Brandt, Juergen Teller
What do you enjoy most about your job? Creating fabulous images.
Favourite Film? Toy Story, Top Gun, Amelie, Breakfast at Tiffanys.
Favourite Music? Kings of Leon, Florence and the Machine, Syd Barrett.
Hobbies? Cinema, Shopping, Theatre, Food, and spending time with loved ones.
What is your most memorable experience at Venture? When I asked a lady to make her children laugh, she flashed at them! I told her I would tell everyone. You know who you are!

Debbie - Photographer

What is your job role? Photographer.
How long have you been working for Venture? Five and a half years.
Who is your favourite photographer and why? I like lots of different photographers it’s hard to pinpoint one, I do really like old style black and white portraits.
What do you enjoy most about your job? Screaming kids!!!
Favourite Film? The Goonies still gives me a good laugh, ET makes me cry and I can’t stand Titanic.
Favourite Music? I like a wide range, I listened to the Smiths on the way to work today and Goldfrapp on the way back last night if that helps.
Hobbies? Being on holiday and exploring new places, live music, spending time with friends and eating good food.
What is your most memorable experience at Venture? Joanne and her spectacular chair dive!!!!

Natalie - Design Consultant

What is your job role? Design Consultant Manager
How long have you been working for Venture? Seven years.
Who is your favourite photographer and why? David for his experiance with clients in the studio and Chris for his photographs.
What do you enjoy most about your job? Helping customers choose their images and how to design them in our products.
Favourite Film? I love 'Taken' starring Liam Neeson. 
Favourite Music? Paolo Nutini and Florence and The Machine.
Hobbies? Photography, running and skiing.
What is your most memorable experience at Venture? Too many! I love showing customers their work when they come to collect it.

Venture Edinburgh is delighted to be working with this fantastic kilt business. Located in the town of Musselburgh, on the East coast of Scotland. Their first premises were in one of the town’s smallest shops, so small you could touch both walls at once! Little World

Our Little World online is a unique place where we share great products that we’ve found and used ourselves and on our children Charlie and Daisy.

Nobody ever says bringing up children is easy, and nobody ever says starting up a business is easy, but we felt so passionate about these products that we had to find a way to combine the two. We’ve even opened a shop at 6 Maygate, Dunfermline, and in November 2011 we opened our second shop at 346 Morningside Road, Edinburgh! If you are ever in the area we would love you to come in and see us.
