Robert Palmer – Studio Manager
Robert has been working in the studio since he was the “Saturday Boy” at the tender age of 16 so knows more about Venture than most of the Head Office employees. Has done every job in the business including training as a Photographer in his father’s footsteps, but decided he was more interested in the business and management side of the studio.
In spite of “being picked on by all the girls” he loves working in a creative environment and particularly enjoys advising people on the selection of their images and the best way to display them.He admits to being an obsessive golfer, Ipswich Town supporter and car enthusiast.
Favourite thing about working at Venture Framlingham – seeing customers’ expectations exceeded at the viewing and then their delight when they come to collect the finished products.
Rebecca Crichton – Diary Manager
Has worked for Venture for two years coming from a marketing and PR background and joined Framlingham a year ago when her husband was posted to Suffolk.
Rebecca is one of the first points of contact you will have with our studio and gets immense pleasure from following the journey from the initial contact on the telephone to meeting our customers at their session and then seeing the end results at collection.
Favourite thing about working at Venture Framlingham –encouraging families to personalise their session in order for us to “Tell their Story” and seeing the way the Photographers translate those ideas into a fantastic piece of individual art.
Kate Ilott – Appointment Co-ordinator & Receptionist
Joined us nearly a year ago having worked at her parents’ famous Laxfield pub, the Low House, for 6 years. As a result of that indoctrination she is incredibly customer focused and loves speaking to people on the phone as well as face-to-face. She prides herself on helping customers to think of weird and wonderful things to bring along to the session (motorbikes, chickens, parrots etc)or if they are not so keen on that idea to prepare them so the whole experience is tailored to them.
Favourite thing about working at Venture Framlingham – the small friendly team, working near to home so she can spend lots of time with her beloved horses and meeting such a huge variety of people.
Rebecca Howard – Business Development Manager
Joined Venture UK in 2005 as Area Sales Manager for eastern England, then had a break for 3 years to have 2 children and returned to work at Framlingham in January 2010.
Rebecca is primarily responsible for maintaining relationships with our local corporate partners. Having worked with a number of Venture studios in the past she has a broad knowledge of the whole spectrum of roles within the studio (excluding photography) and supports and trains members of the team on an on-going basis.
Favourite thing about working at Venture Framlingham – Working with such a diverse team in experience and personality and also having the opportunity to exercise her ‘mummy brain’.
Mark and Mardie Palmer – Studio Owners
Mark and Mardie started the Framlingham studio over 25 years ago and Mark was one of the original photographers involved in the birth of Venture.
They both care passionately about their business and know that the photographic experience is key. They strive to ensure the team delivers 5 star customer service to each and every family.
Mark drives the Photographic training, image quality and creativity of the studio and admits to saying things like ‘we should all shoot on film again’ and ‘you young photographers don’t know how lucky you are’ etc ! The Photographers humour him...... His mission is to ensure that no image ever leaves the studio unless it looks stunning!
