We can offer you career development through Venture’s bespoke qualifications, including our Professional Certificate in Portraiture, Professional Diploma in Portraiture and Photoshop courses.
Case study – Richard Milner, Art Director (US)
Richard, 32, from Johannesburg, South Africa, began his career at Venture in 2002 when he joined the Rochdale studio as a photographer.
Whilst in Rochdale, Richard gained his Venture Professional Certificate in Portraiture before moving to what was formally the Shipley studio to work on his Professional Diploma in Portraiture qualification.
After working hard to gain these qualifications, Richard enjoyed further promotion to Assistant Style Director before becoming Style Director in the nearby Leeds studio.
In 2007, he relocated to New York after applying for a role in the newly launched Westport studio in Connecticut, fulfilling a life long ambition in the process.
The following year, Richard went on to be promoted to Art Director, overseeing the creative output from both the existing Westport studio and the newly-launched Greenwich studio.
As Venture expands in the US, with new studios set to open later this year, Richard is looking forward to exploring more of the country as he helps to grow the Venture brand and oversee the development of the US photography teams.
He says that the last eight years at Venture Photography have been the most exciting of his life, seeing fantastic career progression and the opportunity to travel extensively:
