Child Modelling: Everything You Need to Know
Our Little Face of Venture competition is ramping up, but we wanted to talk to you about why you should be interested in child modelling and what you stand to gain from winning our competition.
This year we have partnered with Pixie Child Model Agency, gifting the winner a 12-month modelling contract alongside other amazing prizes. What would this contract look like? We had a chat with Pixie to get all of the info!
Who do you currently work with?
We work with a number of Casting Directors that create content for many household names in Fashion, Sport, Retail, TV content and music videos. Recent clients include – Nike, Primark, Smyths toy brand, Netflix, Mc Donalds, JD Sports, Disney.
Can you share some top tips for parents wanting to get their children into modelling?
Let your Children be themselves, never force any posing or acting.
What does it take to become a child model?
It takes time, patience and dedication to do every casting offered, every casting offered is valuable experience for when that perfect role comes along.
Could you share some information on the contract included in our competition?
The contract we are offing is for 1 year and it includes a photoshoot with Venture to create a portfolio.
We will create a web page for the model and submit them to as many jobs as they fit the criteria for. Our aim is to find as much work for as many models as possible. We do always make it clear to Models that the casting directors are the ones that have the final say for which Child they choose for the job. Therefore, we cannot guarantee how much work a Model will get.
What stands out to you when looking for a new model?
Pictures that really show a Child is happy and confident in front of the camera, we book children of all shapes and sizes, there is no typical look for a Child Model.
