Our studio is one of the original Venture Studios that founded the Venture brand back in 2000, having previously belonged to the owners’ father, Ken Bray. This studio has been a family photography studio since 1964 and when the opportunity came to join Venture and help create the brand, it was snapped up in a flash!

Still very much a family run photography studio in South Woodford, we pride ourselves on the highest quality of customer service. We provide a great interactive experience and produce quality framed art for our customers to enjoy, cherish and smile at for years to come.

We love photographing families, children, babies, couples and pets, and our experience really shows when you book a photoshoot with us. We are the premier photography studio in East London and have had thousands of happy customers since opening over 50 years ago.

Eleanor –Operations & Photography Manager

Eleanor is the resident Disney fan, social media guru, theatre enthusiast and hopeless romantic, who is a big personality in the studio.

Joining the studio in 2014, Eleanor has loved being able to welcome back her beautiful returning clients, as you always feel part of the family…and seeing all your 4 legged friends.

Amelie – Digital Artist

Amelie is the studio’s heavy metal goddess, Tik Tok superstar and talented musician (she plays SIX different instruments)Joining as our weekend photographer originally, we are now ecstatic to have her as part of the full-time team.

Her passion for photography has grown out of a love for art, and Amelie can often be found putting paint to canvas or relaxing infront of the television with a bowl of Spaghetti and Coronation Street.

Bia – Diary co-ordinator and Content Creator

Meet Bia. Despite not being a photographer, she deeply appreciates the artistry in our work and thrives in the studio’s creative energy.

Beyond the studio, you’ll find Bia immersed in the excitement of Formula One races and exploring captivating worlds in literature.
Amidst the lively atmosphere, she finds happiness in the heartwarming moments with furry companions, making each day in the studio a delightful blend of creativity and joy.

Emma – Photographer

Emma joined Venture photography as a diary manager, where she began her training to become a full time photographer, which has always been a huge passion for her. Her bubbly nature and high energy means that every client is sure to have the best experience and come out with some amazing memories!

Outside of work she spends time with her family, which include her handsome Border Collie, Buddy! She loves Disney and travel, and her ideal is to combine both of them into travelling to Disney Paris for a perfect weekend away

Greta – Bookings Advisor

Greta is our queen of the phones, joining Venture as our Bookings Advisor. Greta’s kind nature, means she is always ready to be the mum of the studio, looking after the rest of the team, and transferring this same kind nature into her work, to make sure all our clients are welcomed into the Venture experience.

In her free time, Greta loves the outdoor life, heading hiking or to local parks and to always keep herself busy, Greta is an avid reader and has a collection of over 500 books at home.

Venture Studios South Woodford is currently situated on High Road between the Winston Churchill roundabout and the underground station.

Parking Information

Parking is accessible around the corner from the studios on Derby Road (Pay and Display, free on weekends.) There is also a car park (free at the weekends) behind Tesco Express located at 253-269 High Road.

The Local Area

We have the very popular cafe on the corner of our street where our customers may want to go for a coffee or light snack before or after their photoshoot experience with us. For those attending their experience towards the end of the day, you might want to go for a delicious meal at one of our neighbouring award winning Indian restaurants. We’re also a short walk towards South Woodford station which will bring you to many Italian, Turkish, or chain restaurants.

South Woodford Studio Specialities

Venture South Woodford Studio has lots of large entrance points for props of all shapes and sizes, motorbikes and cars welcome. We also offer makeover shoots with makeup facilities, and have loads of lovely newborn props to help you to get those cute shots.

How it Works

Venture Photography South Woodford delivers a fun and friendly photography experience for all types of occasions, whether it’s to mark a celebration or if it’s just for fun! We offer four different types of photoshoot experience packages; Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond for couples and individuals, families, pets,, maternity and newborn, and cake smash. Our teams are trained to make the photoshoot process as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, so your images feel natural and relaxed for the best results.

Once you arrive at your local Venture Photography Studio, you’ll be greeted by our lovely team to walk you through the photography process. After your photoshoot you’ll then be invited back for a viewing session where you can see all of the images taken during your photoshoot, and choose your favourite. You will then receive a beautiful piece of framed artwork from your photoshoot. You also have the opportunity to purchase further images and frames from our wide selection.
